The secret strength of our timber houses and buildings lies in the quality of wood.
All our wood comes from Finland which has ideal growing conditions for construction timber – the bitter winters ensure a slow growth and the resulting tighly packed rings give it a high tensile strength.
Our manufacturer only chooses the best spruce or pine and their logs are not treated with any chemicals. Their factory is state of the art, laminating and cutting the logs to pre-defined templates that fit together with millimetre precision.
The lamination process is based on many decades experience and results in a solid piece of timber that will not crack, warp or split – even in the severe weather conditions of Finland, where summer and winter temperatures can vary from 30°C minus 50°C.
Even though their production process is very hi-tech, it has a very low environmental impact - as nearly all the factories energy requirements are generated on site using their own wood waste.
